maybe malaria isn't that bad... it was a week of hell for me, but... just a week. but then again, after that i never wanted to experience it again and opted for the pills. but then again, of course. but then again, look at me now... uh... side effects.

Is Lariam the drug that sometimes causes crazy dreams and occasionally causes psychosis? Don't worry, the psychosis goes away when you stop taking it.

I don't know when you're leaving, but if you're already having side effects, you might still have time to look into something else. I took doxycycline when I went to Uganda shortly after Somewhere Else 2006, and I think I only had to start taking it a couple days before I got to Uganda.
