Aunty Irene came over today for breakfast and we talked about my trip. We went through photos, I told stories, and she listened with mounting fascination.

And I realise how much I miss travelling with Thi. He was a great friend and partner, and was almost everything great about the trip. Best team the world has seen, he even suggested that we do the amazing race together some time.

Sometime.

Maybe we'll race around the world someday, a race against poverty and social injustice, swigging beerlao and laughing, a lot.

But for now, I really want to go to South Africa.
