Incident:

The bus just didn't come. Waited for 40 mins. And like I know you probably can't do anything about the fact that infrastructure in Canada is generally sub par, but it would be nice if, i mean if the bus breaks down, get a replacement one or something to service demand. Taking the bus should not be a stress inducing activity. But it really is. In my 6 years of living in Vancouver and dealing with Translink, I never feel confident that I can get to school/work on time because you never know when the bus will make it. It's kinda ridiculous really. So i don't really have a specific complaint but more of a general: you really need to get this act together - this isn't the first time. I mean come on, we're a developed nation, can we please not have developing country efficiency standards?

haha hannah,

if the bus breaks down in singapore, they don't send out an emergency replacement one either!

i'm sorry you waited forty minutes. but shit happens.

i actually think the 99 is not bad since it comes pretty regularly.

even in singapore, the bus isn't exactly on time. you have to be at the bus stop ten minutes before the expected time ... and even then you could end up waiting especially if it's on the weekends.

our mrt systems rocks though!

They do! At least.. I remember once the MRT broke down, and then they immediately made an announcement saying that the buses will be increased so that people can take buses. Which i thought was nice.

And yeah i was waiting for the 17. Grrrrr.

ah but you're looking at different systems.

if an mrt breaks down. literally no other trains can come onto that track/stop.

bus breaks down, there are no emergency buses being sent out, you have to wait for the next one.
